Be Careful

" Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.  Therefore, do not be foolish but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." Ephesians 5:15-20

Today we have church here at the assisted living where I live. I will also listen to my my church back home in Michigan.

What's better than coffee?

What's better than coffee? The Bible, the word of God of course.

What can we find in God's word?

Truth and Grace.

"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14

Thank you, Lord, for your grace and truth.

Should Christians Celebrate Halloween?

Many Christians do not celebrate Halloween because of it being associated with witches and devils.

There are other ways to celebrate the Fall Season. Many churches have Fall Festivals and Harvest Parties. There are also Trunk or Treats where children dress up in non-scary costumes and get candy out of car trunks.

These parties are great for Seniors as well. As a senior in an Assisted Living, I have celebrated some Fall Festivals and Trunk or Treats.

Salt and Light

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot." Matthew 5:13

Painting by S. Peckham. If you are in northern Michigan, you can her artwork at various art shows around the area.

What's going on today?

Today my nurse will come and wrap my leg. We will also have a monthly meeting here at WB for us residents. There will also be a birthday party in the afternoon.
