Always There

The Lord is always there. He will never leave or forsake his children.

God Cares

"I made you. I will hold you up and carry you all through your life even when you grow old" Isaiah 46:4

I'm so glad that the Lord is with everyone who loves and trusts in him.

My nurse comes today for my leg. I get it wrapped to keep the swelling down. I will also play games in activities.

Amazing Grace

God's grace is amazing. Like the old song says. "Amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me ...."

Today we are playing bingo. We play for prizes here at the assisted living facility where I live.

We had a great birthday party for one of the residents here at WB assisted living that turned 94 yesterday.

I would like to wish all my friends and family members who have birthdays this month. A Happy Birthday.

Children of God

"God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure." Ephesians 1:5

I am thankful The Lord adopted us into his family.

Today is voting day. I vote absentee ballot. So, I don't have to fight the crowds at the polls and because I am a senior in an assisted living.

Yesterday we all made a thankful tree. A tree with fall leaves on it of everything we are thankful for.

I am thankful for all The Lord has done for me. I am also thankful for all my family and friends.

Goodbye Peach Kitty

Above is the picture of two cat friends. Summer the brown colored cat and Peach Kitty the tan or peach colored cat. Summer is a therapy cat, and she loves to dress up and be in cat shows. The peach kitty being feral would come and visit Summer and stay mostly outside. He was getting closer to Summer's person or Human. When one day the peach kitty got very ill and crossed the Rainbow Bridge. In otherwards Peach kitty was gone. Summer's human is putting together a calendar of Summer and the Peach Kitty for 2027. You can read more about Summer on her website  or on social media.

Do not worry

I used to be one of the biggest worriers in the world. I worry about anything. People actually nicknamed me Worry Wart. I finally got tired of it. I prayed to The Lord and asked to help me stop worrying and he had me read the verse above.

I am Pentecostal. I am a Christian. A child of God.  I have no reason to worry. Amen.

Be Careful

" Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.  Therefore, do not be foolish but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." Ephesians 5:15-20

Today we have church here at the assisted living where I live. I will also listen to my my church back home in Michigan.

Our Helper

Yes. The Lord is our helper. He will help us through reading his word, the Bible and through prayer.

When we spend more time with The Lord, we can say:

What's better than coffee?

What's better than coffee? The Bible, the word of God of course.

What can we find in God's word?

Truth and Grace.

"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14

Thank you, Lord, for your grace and truth.

Should Christians Celebrate Halloween?

Many Christians do not celebrate Halloween because of it being associated with witches and devils.

There are other ways to celebrate the Fall Season. Many churches have Fall Festivals and Harvest Parties. There are also Trunk or Treats where children dress up in non-scary costumes and get candy out of car trunks.

These parties are great for Seniors as well. As a senior in an Assisted Living, I have celebrated some Fall Festivals and Trunk or Treats.

Salt and Light

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot." Matthew 5:13

Painting by S. Peckham. If you are in northern Michigan, you can her artwork at various art shows around the area.

What's going on today?

Today my nurse will come and wrap my leg. We will also have a monthly meeting here at WB for us residents. There will also be a birthday party in the afternoon.

Time

Everything works out in time. Maybe not when I want it to, but when God wants it to.

Trust

We can always trust The Lord and his word. The Bible. I try to read a bible verse each day. Sometimes more.

He has risen!

"He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay." Matthew 28:6

Praise The Lord! He has risen.

In his time

Sometimes I get in a hurry and want things now. But Lord you say wait. Yes, God knows the right time for everything. We are having some Easter activities way after Easter which I believe is sort of silly. But there probably is a reason for it. Besides, candy is good at any time.

Lighthouse

This is a picture of the lighthouse in Frankfort Michigan.  When I lived in Michigan my friend Curt and I would visit the lighthouse quite often.

"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:16
